Special Town Meeting Minutes March 4, 2008 The moderator opened the meeting with Ms Karen Kappenman (Librarian) beginning the Pledge allegiance to the Flag at 7:00p.m.; the checkers were Virginia Huntley and Christine Canton. A quorum of 42 register voters was present. The moderator read the warrant and the return of the warrant, and then proceeded with the meeting. Under Article 1 it was moved and seconded that the town vote to transfer the sum of $750.00 from Free Cash to the Selectmen Expenses account. Motion passed a majority vote Under Article 2 it was moved and seconded that the town vote to transfer the sum of $540.00 from Free Cash to the Photocopier Lease and Supplies account. Motion passes unanimously Under Article 3 it was moved and seconded that the town vote to transfer the sum of $24,000.00 from Free Cash to the Legal Expenses account. Motion passed a majority vote Under Article 4 it was moved and seconded that the town vote to transfer the sum of $5,000.00 from Free Cash to the Tax Title Expense account. Motion passes unanimously Under Article 5 it was moved and seconded that the town vote to transfer the sum of $750.00 from Free Cash to the Election Wages account. Motion passes unanimously Under Article 6 it was moved and seconded that the town vote to transfer the sum of $750.00 from Free Cash to the Election expenses account. Motion passes unanimously Under Article 7 it was moved and seconded that the town vote to transfer the sum of $1,550.00 from Free Cash to the Telephone account. Motion passes unanimously Under Article 8 it was moved and seconded that the town vote to transfer the sum of $9,500.00 from Free Cash to the Gas and Electric-Town Hall account. Motion passes unanimously Under Article 9 it was moved and seconded that the town vote to transfer the sum of $7,500.00 from Free Cash to the Gas and Electric-Larrabee account. Motion passes unanimously Under Article 10 it was moved and seconded that the town vote to transfer the sum of $3,950.00 from Free Cash to the Police Dept. Expenses account. Motion passes unanimously Under Article 11 it was moved and seconded that the town vote to transfer the sum of $3,000.00 from Free Cash to the {Police Department} Equipment Maintenance account. Motion passes unanimously Under Article 12 it was moved and seconded that the town vote to transfer the sum of $9,000.00 from Free Cash to the Veterans’ Benefits account. Motion passes unanimously Under Article 13 it was moved and seconded that the town vote to transfer the sum of $600.00 from Free Cash to the Old Home Days account. Motion passes unanimously Under Article 14 it was moved and seconded that the town vote to transfer the sum of $2,500.00 from Free Cash to Debt WPAT Bonds. An amendment was made and seconded to transfer the sum of $2,500.00 from the WPAT Loan Repayment Account to Debt WPAT bonds. Motion to the amendment Passed A vote on the Article as amended Passes unanimously Under Article 15 it was moved and seconded to transfer the sum of $27,278.00 from Community Preservation Undesignated Funds to each of the following Community Preservation Funds: Open Space, Historic Resources, and Community Housing, for a Total amount of $81,834.00. Motion passed a majority vote Under Article 16 it was moved and seconded that the town vote to accept the extension of Helen Drive as a public way as shown on a plan dated December 23, 2003.
